1. B.J. Penn - Cause hes like a freakin rubber band…
2. Tito Ortiz - Cause hes an arrogant prick and hes just an exciting fighter to watch. Except his fight with Rashad Evans, that one sucked.
3. Royce Gracie - Because he is the reason why everyone in MMA had to be versatile and learn to fight on the ground and standing up. He showed the world that Gracie/Brazilian jiu jitsu was the most dominant martial art in the world.

Randy Couture. He is a local boy and a beast.
I was totally pulling for Joe Whitehead in Ultimate Fighter 2 because he is a local boy as well…can’t win em all.
Tank Abbott. Gracie and those guys will threaten to break your arm and let you give up. Tank will just let you leave the ring with a speech impediment.

1. Randy “the natural” Couture- If your an MMA fan how can you not like this guy. He is just a super smart fighter. Watch out Fedor, your next.
2. Quinton “Rampage”Jackson- In his last two UFC fights he dominated arguably two of the sports toughest light heavyweights in Chuck Liddell and Dan Henderson.
3.George “Rush” St.Pierre- This dude is electric. So exiting to watch. He dominated Matt Hughes twice, who many people thought was one of the best in the business. Matt Serra, that was a fluke and it will not happen again.

Randy Couture- C’mon this guy has proven himself over and over and then his no quit attitude, unless you mess with him fighting the best. yea he lost twice to Liddell but still came back and dominated the HW’s.
GSP- Look at him. Look at those skills.
Hughes- Everybody loves a pure-hearted, down to Earth type fighter.
Unless you try the sport you’ll never fully understand it; win, lose, or draw.
GSP and Hughes are like the RYU and Ken of the UFC.

1. Chuck Liddell
2. Randy Couture
3. GSP
January 2nd, 2008 at 10:28 am
1. Chuck Liddell- I love his style, he doesn’t make excuses when he loses, he is a great sport that doesn’t act like a jerk when he wins or a whiner when he loses. I love the fact that he will fight anyone, and you can tell he loves to fight.
2. Randy Couture- He is an amazing wrestler. I love to see that he loves what he does so much.
3. This one was a little hard to chose but I would say GSP because he is just getting started and he is doing great.
His skills are amazing, for someone who never wrestled in high school or college to be as great as he is, is very impressing. I like his attitude also, he seems to almost feel bad for the other guy when he wins.
January 2nd, 2008 at 10:31 am
1. Fedor Emelianenko - he’s indestructable.
2. Mirko Filipovic - His fights have ‘historicly’ been very entertaining and exiting. Lately in the UFC he’s been a dud though, sadly.
3. Houston Alexander - He’s very good, more to come from him imo.

1. Anderson Silva- The guy is freaking amazing. Every fight he seems to get better and better. Hes a stiker first submissionist and thats what wins fights…Hes the best fighter in the world right now..
2. Randy Couture- This guy is my hero. Beat Chuck Liddell Tito Ortiz Tim Sylvia, the guy is just amazing. If the UFC would have signed Fedor i think Randy would have beat him..
3. Chuck Liddell- How can you not like this guy? Hes a fraking rock star. Fights hard and parties harder. Sometimes thats his problem too haha. Hes beaten everyone (except Rampage and Jardine haha) from Randy to Tito to Babalu. Also add Wanderlei Silva to that list also. I would much rather see him fight Forest Griffin instead of Forest and Rampage, but whatever…. Chuck will be back in title contention…
Honerable Mention: Dan Henderson, Keith Jardine, Rampage Jackson, Matt Serra, Roger Huerta

Frank Shamrock - He was the prototype of the true Mixed Martial Artist. He knocked people out with his standup, dropped a guy on his head (and out cold) with his wrestling and submitted people from the mount and from the guard. He might not be the best anymore but he was pound for pound the best by a wide margin 7-8 years ago.
Randy Couture - He’s a class act and I think he’s maybe won a few fights over his career… Honestly it’s amazing what’s he done at his age and he discovered the sport at a later age. One could only wonder how beastly he would be if he started his MMA training in his teens or early 20’s.
Vitor Belfort - Never lived up to the hype but he was a very, very exciting fighter in his early years. Had a “Tyson” aura around him where his opponents were demoralized before they even fought. He had all the physical tools to be a legend but has always had issues with confidence.
January 2nd, 2008 at 12:05 pm
Fedor - he scares me.
Wanderli Silva - He’s sucked recently and I suspect he was juicing for many years, but his PRIDE fights were always incredibly exciting to watch.
Bas Rutten - The guy’s hilarious!
January 2nd, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Randy - Seems so down to Earth and has tremendous heart
Rich Franklin - tough and honorable even in defeat. Plus I’m a high school math teacher just like he used to be.
Matt Hughes- exciting to watch and greatest ww ever.
Also like Tito, Cro Cop, Liddell, and Forrest
January 2nd, 2008 at 12:31 pm
1. chuck liddell- his fights are always exciting..except those recent 2 with jardine and rampage….those werent so good
2. randy couture- hes awesome and he fights smart
3. forrest griffin- i like his style and hes got tons of heart
January 2nd, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Chuck liddell cause he has a mohawk a tatoo on his head and he puts dudes asleep.
Randy couture.. He is a freak of nature when it comes to being old , and he is the giant killer who allways surprises the big men!
Anderson silva, at 185 lbs there is no answer for the spider!
January 2nd, 2008 at 3:09 pm
BJ Penn-because he is a beast
Randy Couture-Thrives in adversity
Tito Ortiz-Makes UFC more popular because of antics and he’s gonna be on the “Apprentice” with Trump
January 2nd, 2008 at 3:20 pm
I do muay thai so my opnion may be a bit bias.
No paticular order.
Rob Mucullough-amazing striker, only 3 loses are by decesion.
Anderson Silvia-black belt muay thai, black belt bjj
Malaipet-finally a Thai born thailand in MMA. He’s new to MMA but with some wrestling and Bjj. He can be succesfull.
January 2nd, 2008 at 10:28 pm
roger huerta-he’s awesome
Matt Hughes-he is just a hero to me he is bad a&&
Randy Couture-cause he can still hang with the young ones
January 2nd, 2008 at 11:20 pm
1: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson
He was a very good middleweight in pride, but since moving up to light heavy he seems indestructible. I could see him holding the belt for a long time. His slams are awesome, he destroyed Lidell, and he can punch. also, he is just an awesome personality.
2: Wanderlei Silva
If you had asked me this question on december 28th i would have put him at #1. I was willing to think his loss to Dan Henderson was a fluke, or he was sick or whatever, but his loss to lidell made him fall a spot. that said, he was amazing a few years ago. maybe he is over the hill now, but the Axe Murderer used to be ridiculous.
3:Shogun Rua
Awesome. His fight with Rampage was amazing. i dont know what weight they fought at, but probably middle since it was in pride. he was a warrior. seemed fat against griffin, maybe he got distracted by his marriage or whatever. but he is young (26), so expect him to come back strong, and not fade like Wand probably will.
honorable mentions:
Evangelista Santos
Melvin Manhoef (the fight between these 2 was my favorite of all time. look it up.)
anderson silva
