Miguel Cotto, Floyd Mayweather, and many more are undefeated. In MMA, Randy Couture is one of the best but…..ONLY WON 50% of his fights??? Even Fedor has a lose… Where are the undefeated fighters with 25 or more wins?

I was wondering who pays for an MMA Fighter’s expenses like travel, lodging, food etc.(Expenses a fighter incurs when his fight is schelduled at an event) Does the promotion/organization they fight for cover them or is that something the fighter pays out of his own pocket?

If you took any of todays top MMA fighters do you think they could score a takedown against a professional Sumo fighter? I’m not talking about using punches or kicks, I’m talking only about takedowns. Weird question I know I just was wondering

1. B.J. Penn - Cause hes like a freakin rubber band…

2. Tito Ortiz - Cause hes an arrogant prick and hes just an exciting fighter to watch. Except his fight with Rashad Evans, that one sucked.

3. Royce Gracie - Because he is the reason why everyone in MMA had to be versatile and learn to fight on the ground and standing up. He showed the world that Gracie/Brazilian jiu jitsu was the most dominant martial art in the world.

By this I mean I want to type in Germany, and see all German MMA fighters, etc.
Wiki only shows me the country or a pic of the flag. ragtownhero, can you maybe point me to where on either of those sites I can find a list of all fighters from a certain country? I found profiles, but couldn’t find a list.

I have watched a lot of MMA and MA tournaments. One thing I notice that is different is that MMA fighters don’t seem to yell out when they strike. Many of the Kendo, TKD, etc practitioners do, but I hardly hear a peep in MMA.

Why is this?

someone told me that amatuer MMA is different from amatuer boxing, wrestling ect..he said that amatuer MMA fighters are less serious than pros, he said that amatuers only want to go in the ring to throw punches and knock someones head off..is this true or is amatuer mma fighters serious about their amatuer career..and is amatuer fighters significantly less skilled than pros?

In the 80s’ and 90s’ there were 2 -3 UFC fighters in the WWF ( Ken Shamrock, Steven Richards were two of them) . But their storyline/roles were quickly finished and they moved out.

Now with Undertaker using submission locks , could this signal a way to bring in MMA/UFC fighters either as ; a hired gun to stop the Undertaker ( as her seems to like to wear similar gloves) , or as potential managers/trainers. ?

I’ve been watching a lot of MMA fights recently and have noticed that in the stand-up game or "ground and pound", most fighters swing for the head and rarely throw punches to the body. Why is this ? It would make sense for them to throw some body punches to wear down an opponent or force them to defend those shots thus opening up more opportunities to hit the oppenent in the head. Why don’t they use this strategy and always go for the head ?
